Why can’t I book my uploaded provider anymore?
When you book care with an uploaded provider in the Helpr app, usage is tracked to prevent families from becoming household employers under federal tax rules.
If you’ve reached a tax-related limit with a provider:
- You may be unable to select them while making a booking; their name may appear grayed out
- You may see an error message when trying to book them
- Your provider may see an error message when trying to accept a booking
Can I still book with this provider in the future? How can I use my remaining benefit hours?
- You can book with that provider again once the next tax period begins and if you have remaining benefit hours.
- You can upload and book with another provider in the meantime if you’d like to use any remaining hours now. There is no limit to the number of providers you can upload to your Helpr app.
