- 1:1 Consultation
- Each project begins with a 1:1 phone or video consultation with an experienced Care Consultant. They’ll ask questions to learn more about your family’s care needs and walk you through the next steps of the process.
- Personalized Posting
- We’ll create a customized job and post on relevant, professional job board(s) and/or care networks. Our Care team will review resumes and reach out to candidates who meet your qualifications.
- Qualifying Interview
- Your Care Consultant will interview candidates as they respond to your position. If the candidate is a potential fit, we will share the candidate’s resume, interview notes, pay rate and other details to consider.
- Helpr also runs a pre-screening for ID verification for potential candidates.
- You can opt into background check and social media pre-screenings before you meet with the candidate - otherwise screenings will happen for your preferred candidates after the interview.
- We’ll update you about the status of your project by the end of each week via email.

We’ll also make recommendations for a payroll service and assist with any outstanding details.
What information do I need for my 1:1 consultation?
- In order to provide your consultant with the information they will need to find the best care options for your family, please be ready to share the following:
- Who needs care?
- When is care needed?
- When do you need care by (start date)?
- How long do you need care (end date)?
- For consistent care, what days and times do you need care each week?
- For backup care, are there typical days and time frames when you need care the most?
- What will the care provider’s responsibilities look like?
- What rate would you like to offer your new care provider? Your consultant will be happy to share current market rates in your area to set you up for a successful project.
- Are there any special needs or requests you would like your new care provider to have experience with in order to best serve your family’s needs?
- Anything else you would like your consultant to keep in mind while finding your family’s new care provider.
Where does Helpr source candidates?
- We primarily advertise on professional hiring platforms due to the fact that we are hoping to recruit experienced individuals who have professional resumes and a desire to build a career as a care provider. Additionally, we are looking for candidates willing to complete a thorough process (multiple interviews, identity verification, a background check, providing references, sharing a CPR certificate) and we've found candidates sourced using professional platforms tend to be more willing to do so.
